A collaboration has sparked between Oetker Collection and the Reuben Brothers, owners of the current Hotel La Palma, Capri’s first and oldest hotel dating back to 1822. The new, luxury hotel will be a reimagination of this property, featuring 50 rooms and located moments away from the island’s piazzetta, overlooking the Tyrrhenian sea.
The plan is to transform the current building into one of the most elegant hotels Capri has ever seen; with 32 standard rooms and 18 suites each with their own private balcony or terrace. The design is a product of a combination of world-renowned architects and interior designers.
Besides the in-house spa, relaxation room and fitness area guests will have access to the hotels’ La Palma Beach Club situated in Marina Piccola, a spot to completely wind down and soak up the sunshine, good views and an aperol spritz or two.
With regards to the culinary scene, Starred Chef Gennaro Esposito will be directing the eponymous Gennaro’s Restaurant, Bar and Terrace. The aim is to provide luxurious yet unpretentious, authentic cuisine. In addition to Gennaro’s, Hotel La Palma will inaugurate Bianca, a rooftop bar from where guests and non-guests can hang out and embrace the surrounding views under the starry sky – romantic is definitely one word we would use to describe it.
