Situated sheer above the sea and overlooking the Gulf of Sorrento, the Minervetta is a magical little hotel with an everlasting allure and just 12 rooms. It’s a place rendered one-of-a-kind, by virtue of the passion of architect and owner, Marco de Luca: «I don’t love being defined as a design hotel. The Minervettais a house furnished with my collections. It was built in the 1950’s by my grandparents and used to be a renowned restaurant, after which the management was outsourced. Fifteen years ago I decided to restore it to my taste, finding spaces for my family furnishings, works of art, and my books. I personally designed a portion of the furniture. I blended the current design with vintage design using Southern elements and colors: Majolica, Vietri, and Sottsass pottery, contemporary art paintings by Pistoletto, Schifano, and Andy Warhol from my mother’s collection. Still today I continue to purchase objects from around the world for the Minervetta».
Throughout the living rooms, bedrooms, and on the terraces, you will find culture, tradition, innovation, and mementos, culminating in a colorful, festive, unique, poetic harmony.
