Villa Lena is a 19th century villa situated on a hilltop in the Tuscan countryside surrounded by 500 hectares of woodland, vineyards, olive groves and organic vegetable gardens. It takes the ideal behind Slow Luxury Travel and exemplifies it with a deep dive into nature and the arts.
Alongside hosting guests in either one of their recently renovated rooms or larger apartments, Villa Lena organises a series of events, workshops and retreats for guests to take part in.
In fact, there are a few exciting things brewing up on the menu (and no, we’re not talking about this region’s traditional Pappa al Pomodoro dish – even though that does feature on the in-house San Michele restaurant menu). We’re talking about the creative five-day retreats launching in Spring.
The first scheduled retreat: May 27th – 31st May, Villa Lena has organised a Botanical Retreat as a collaboration with “Tuscan Flower School” of Rebel Rebel, the botanical magazine “The Plant Magazine” and the textile designer Nadine Goepfert. The schedule includes a combination of experiences from daily, creative workshops to olive oil and wine tastings all tied in with one theme: nature.
On the menu for summer, there will be a Summer Solstice Retreat combining various rituals, meditations and night walks – the ideal setting to spark your inner creativity.
So if you’re looking to escape and immerse yourself in a few days of wellness and creativity then these five-day retreats may just be your answer.
