The Villa that did not want to be a hotel: Dimora Palanca

The opening of a beautifully restored 18th century villa located in the heart of Florence

Dimora Palanca is a beautifully restored 18th century villa, a combination of classic architecture and contemporary design in the heart of Florence, thanks to the vision of architect and interior designer. After four-years, the palazzo which houses this new five-star art-inspired hotel with 18 spacious rooms has been returned to its ancient splendour.

Hotel Director Laura Stopani explained that, “We wanted to return this building – which is linked to a time of great change in Florence – to life and to the city, with the ambition of re-finding the aura that used to characterize it. The Palanca family had imagined it as a meeting point and for international travellers who shared interests in art and beauty”.

The luxurious rooms are decorated to the highest level and many enjoy wonderful views of the Palazzo Vecchio and Brunelleschi’s Dome which are easily reachable with a 15 minutes-walk. Florence’s main train station is just minutes away from this tranquil haven which offers a prefect place to relax in its walled garden that also offers the gourmet cuisine of its chic Mimesi restaurant.
