Ai fornelli del Mandarin Oriental Barcelona arriva l’Ambasciatore della cucina peruviana

Ceviche, anyone? Just in time for the sultry summer season, the “Ambassador of Peruvian cuisine” has arrived at the Mandarin Oriental Barcelona. Celebrity chef Gastón Acurio is taking over the luxury hotel’s two al fresco spaces—Mimosa Garden and the rooftop terrace, Terrat (pictured here), where he’s serving authentic Peruvian cuisine. Acurio already works with the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, as he manages La Mar restaurant at Mandarin Oriental Miami.

In Barcelona until October 2016, Acurio has joined the Michelin-starred culinary team overseen by chefs Carme Ruscalleda and her son, Räul Balam. Acurio’s cuisine can be ordered at Mimosa Garden during the day then on the terrace after 8 p.m.—paired with cocktails, music, and views over Barcelona.
Located on Passeig de Gràcia, Mandarin Oriental Barcelona has 120 guestrooms, award-winning restaurants and an expansive spa with eight treatment rooms, a 39-foot lap pool, a fitness center, steam room, and a Pedi:Mani:Cure Studio by Bastien Gonzalez.
