Guests of Shangri-La Hotel, at The Shard, London to wear a new limited edition luxury slipper by Beatrix Ong

The London-based designer, Beatrix Ong MBE, has created a new limited edition luxury slipper exclusively for the guests and residents of Shangri-La Hotel, at The Shard, London.

The hotel’s 202 rooms and suites already feature luxury amenities such as Acqua Di Parma bathroom products, Chinese Tea Sets and a pillow menu, and now the exclusive range of slippers will be available as a complimentary amenity within the hotel’s three Signature Suites: The Shangri-La Suite, The London Suite, and The Westminster Suite.
For guests in any of the other rooms and suites, the slippers can be purchased for £88 per pair.
The slippers are made with luxurious silk velvet and non-slip suede soles, and are available in two sizes. The backs can be folded down transforming them into a slip on style if desired.
Each pair is completed with insoles made from bamboo and charcoal – natural deodorisers that are also anti-perspiring and ionising for better comfort and improved circulation.

Beatrix Ong
Beatrix Ong won critical acclaim for her work from an early age, first as creative director for Jimmy Choo then with the eponymous shoe range, which quickly garnered significant attention and became available in the world’s most prestigious stores.
The collaboration with Shangri-La Hotel, at The Shard, London is taking place at a time when Beatrix’s other work is also gaining attention – as earlier and current pieces are part of the Victoria & Albert’s permanent collection and as part of Shoes: Pleasure & Pain. She’s also launching a new concept collection one design at a time in collaborations with the Design Museum in London.
